Nesting...maybe a little

So first trimester exhaustion and nausea are gone and I have entered the honeymoon second trimester nesting phase.

Today consisted of:
Bills paid
Laundry
Re-potted the aloe plant
Cleaned top of the fridge
Wiped down cabinets in kitchen
Weeded part of the front flower bed
Sewed 2 pillows for my mom
Moved furniture around in boys rooms (Chris moved furniture out of the basement and I had to make room to store it upstairs...we moved a lot of stuff out of the basement in the buildings our back but some stuff we didn't want to get damaged in a shed like building)
Oh and did I mention I had to care for the 2 boys and feed them and make dinner for us all.

My back hurts! My arms hurt from pulling weeds and my  fingernails hurt from pulling on the fabric. Ok. Whining over.

Baby girl: 17 weeks

Poor 3rd child. Your brothers pregnmacies were documented each week and bump pictures were a requirement!  That hasn't meant I haven't thought about you or done things to prepare for your arrival.

First trimester: nausea and exhaustion. Repeat. Every day. All day long. Chasing after your brothers while pregnant at 34 is a new adventure.  The heat made me nauseous, cooking made me nauseous and the only things that seemed to help where staying hydrated, continuous eating (which is hard when nothing sounds good) and chewing gum.

Second trimester brought the joy of finding out you are a baby girl! We still may not believe it till we see it!! My energy has come back some and the nausea comes and goes and seems to be worse in the evenings.

So here we are at 17 weeks.

I am counting down the days till our next ultrasound which happens to be on my 35rh birthday so please be good for us in there!!  Anytime you want to let me feel those kicks would be nice too!

Just an evening at home

Chris had to work late, so some screen time seemed like a good idea.

They were sweet. Playing alone, then checking out each other's screens...then this happened.

Sweet boys!!  Needed to be near me! Melt my heart!

It was a rough day. Lots of time outs for both boys. Food thrown on the floor and over all very frustrating for me as the mommy trying to wrangle these two wild boys.

But then Jesse lays his head on my shoulder wraps his arm around my neck and kisses me night night.

And my big boy. We whispered the Lord's Prayer tonight together. Then we talked about earth and heaven. My boy is worried about dying and asked Jesus if we could live forever on earth and never die. He clasp his hands together to show me how he wanted us to be together. I moved the conversation away from the topic of death and we continued the nightly ritual.  Until he reached up and touched my face. Owen looked into my eyes and touched my face the way my mom used to. The way I have always traced my baby's eyebrows, to their noses and around their mouths and ears. He knows it's a special thing of love and as he touched my face he told me:  I am the best mommy ever because I work real hard to take care of everything for him.

Oh Owen you will never know how much those words mean to me. How you make this life so good!

Foot badger!

Mommy mommy my foot badger! Fix my foot badger!!

What in the world are you talking about Owen???

My foot badger....this:

Mini update

Well. I love looking back at my blog posts, but I am horrible now that these 2 keep me running.  Here is a typical MWF of our life:
Owen to play school by 9 am
Jesse and I run errands, hit up the Y where I can even get a shower while my crazy man plays and has a grad time!
Then usually it is time to pick up Owen, eat lunch in the car and head home to play before nap time or to the grocery store to pick up food.
1:30-? Jesse will sleep tops 2 hours and Owen will sleep till 5pm if he falls asleep!
Then it is time for a snack while I cook dinner and we wait for daddy to come home from work!
Daddy gets home and its kisses and hugs for all! We eat dinner and then play a little before 7:30-8pm bed times.
Chris and I indulge in some tv before bed and doing it all again!

T/Ths: are mostly the same we either hit up the Y in the morning and hope for lunch or have a PJ day and mommy tries to clean house!
