Today the baby is about an inch and a half. We had a hard time finding the heartbeat on the home Doppler, but did eventually after I started to stress. We had an OB apt and they found the heartbeat too. We decided to do the NT screening and scan and our next appointment is on the 8th.
Today I am pregnant and I love my little baby.
pregnancy symptoms include: some nausea and a lot of exhaustion. I definitely have some bloat and I sorted maternity clothes tonight. I have a full load that needs washing because they smell musty from the basement. I have a whole bin left of winter clothes (from Owens pregnancy) and the BIG clothes for the 3rd trimester that I can get out later. Thankfully, I was so hot when pregnant before I do have some short sleeved tops!

Really....this baby makin is never easy for us
I don't really want to remember Thursday night, but in true full disclosure and wanting to document this pregnancy like the others. Here it goes.
On Monday we had a great appointment and we decided we should get excited!! I had been feeling good. Nausea had almost gone away, yes I have been tired but we were almost into the 2nd trimester.
Thursday night was like any other night. We watched TV and went to bed. I was curled on my right side snuggling my king size pillow when "pop". I knew that feeling. It was like when Owen's water broke. I stood up and gush gush my underwear was soaked. I ran to the bathroom and it was pouring out of me like pee. Chris and I were in shock. I just knew my water had broken and we were losing this baby. As the night went by there was more blood and tears. I think I slept about 3 hours in one hour stints. I was exhausted by the time the doctors office opened and we ran out the door as soon as we got an appointment.
Our normal dr wasn't available, but the dr we saw was great. I was check internally and my cervix was closed and the bleeding had stopped. Then she brought out the Doppler....this was it we were going to find out our baby was gone. But then......whoosh whoosh whoosh!
We had a strong heartbeat!!! What in the world. Then we went to the ultrasound room where they found a large sack of blood next to the baby's bag of water. It is called a subchoroinic hematoma. We are still not out of the woods, this is still very scary as the blood sack can cause some issues. It can cause the bag of water around the baby to rupture or it can get in between the baby and the placenta. This SCH is caused by the placenta. Can we take a moment to talk about my history with placenta issues.
Pregnancy #1: twins shared a placenta and had a cord placement issue in the placenta
Pregnancy #2: had placenta previa, had to have a c/s
Pregnancy #3: c/p we will never know why
Pregnancy #4: SCH caused by placenta
We go back to see our normal dr on Tuesday and hope they do another u/s and that the blood sack is shrinking. Please pray for us if anyone is reading this.

U/S #2
Yesterday we had our second ultrasound. To say I was nervous was an understatement. It was a very long appointments as we were doing several appointments in one visit.
Here's the breakdown:
1:30 arrived at office
1:40 met with financial advisor and paid $3k for prenatal visits
1:55 back in the big waiting room
2:05 called back and met with nurse; did pee test, weight/height and blood pressure
2:20 put in a different waiting room
2:45 had u/s, saw one "perfect" baby with heartbeat of 164!! I was 9weeks 6days, baby measured 10weeks 1day!! We like being ahead!!
2:55 back in second waiting room
3:05 met with another nurse went over care, was given paperwork
3:15 in 3rd waiting room
3:40 put into exam room
3:50 began physical exam, discussed VBAC and exercise while pregnant
4:15 checked out of Dr office WHEW!
It was a long day, but I don't go back for 4 weeks so that is good!

update on us
I am sorry I've been a bad blogger. I haven't been using my laptop as much since Christmas because we got an Ipad. It is so much fun, but not so much fun to type or blog from. Anyway, onto the update.
I am almost 9 weeks pregnant with one little bean. We had an u/s at 6 weeks 2 days and saw a beautiful heartbeat. Thankfully, after those first few days of bleeding/spotting I haven't seen anymore blood! I kinda feel like I was losing the second embryo and once that was over I stopped bleeding. I was scheduled for another ultrasound when my Grandmother was put into the hospital and then 3 days later she passed away. I had rushed to my mom's out of town to be with her when we found out the news. Then Owen and I stayed there until we left the state for her service. We were out of town almost a week. I have been trying to get our house and stuff back in order. Plus I have taken on babysitting a little 3 month old girl and some sewing projects.
Anyway, this part of the game is so very slow. I can't wait to be into the second trimester and feeling like things are "safer" and once I can feel this little one move I will have that reassurance every day.
My next u/s is with my OB a week from tomorrow and I will try and be better at updating.
