Emma Jean: 28 weeks

This is a new view for me.

Exercise in the 3rd trimester!! Yes I said it. Exercise and we have entered the home stretch. 10-12 weeks still seems so far away and she better not plan on coming after 40 weeks or be prepared to be cut out! Thankfully, my OB seems very on board for letting us decide what we need near the end. Pending the next ultrasounds results. We have an ultrasound on the 15th to check my placenta and baby girls size. Placenta needs to be out of the way completely and since I have gestational diabetes I don't want to push out a huge baby and we all remember my boys were big!

28 weeks:
Belly button has popped, Jesse tells me daily how big my belly is, Owen is so ready for sissy and wants her here NOW, I am with him! If she could be here now and healthy I am ready! Ok, nursery and stuff isn't ready, but it could be quickly if needed. I am up 25 pounds and holding steady with my new diet. Low carb no sugar. This will be fun over the holidays....but totally worth it for a healthy baby!

Mini update

Looking at this photo is sad and exciting for me.  This was Owen's nursery then big boy room for 5 years. It seems like yesterday we were setting up that first crib and hanging those guitars on the wall over it. I plan to have Chris move them to over his bed in the new brother room, but for now they look lonely over the empty bed frame. But I am so excited to have this third baby and still can't imagine life with a little girl! Sure wouldn't have been cheaper to have another boy! Buts it's been fun buying some girl clothes already on clearance! I have the fabric picked out and need to select paint for the walls!!

I feel crazy with this basement remodel and i don't know where everything is. Right now I am stressing about the chandelier and my 2 antique crystal lamps from my childhood. In good news I saw the bin recently with the breast pump and other newborn items!

Boys update:

Owen LOVES his top bunk! The boys giggle in the morning together and so far are pretty good at staying in their beds till I come get them.

Poor baby Jesse has been battling a horrible diaper rash and it's breaking my heart.

They played pretty well this morning while I was organizing the soon to be nursery:

They were crazy today, must be the full moon...not that I believe in those things.

But then they have this moment:
And then were fighting and crazy again so bad that we put them to bed over 30 minutes early!

Bunk beds. And brain dump.

Well. We are on night number 2 of the bunk beds. 1 hour 10 min last night till both were asleep. Jesse did great at nap time only 15 minutes and napped for 3 hours! I got tons done....and now I am paying for it we are an hour 15 in as I type this. Owen is asleep at 45 minutes after getting in trouble for potty words.

We have reached stage one of reorganization upstairs. Taking 2 boys rooms and closets that were very organized (stuffed FULL of everything imaginable) and merging it into one smaller room is a challenge.  I knew it wasn't all going to fit but it really isn't going to fit.

I love a good basement find. This is an old bookshelf left in our house when we bought it and it is the perfect size for bins and books! It is very rough, but it will be a great FREE bookshelf for the boys.  One layer of paint to go and then letting it dry and I can get it moved into the boys room!!

It is weird. These two rooms have changed so much in the past few years. I have decorated 2 nurseries, a little boy room and now a double little boy room!! Next up a little girl nursery. My head is spinning. I am thinking colors, fabrics, furniture placement and how to do it on a  budget as all the extra cash needs to go to the basement renovation.
This did get designed and ordered!!

The basement renovation. The long talks, the longer waits for sub contractors to show up. The never ending to do list for Chris.  I want to help so bad, but between having two four and under helpers and now a prominent baby bump. Ummm no. There is barely anything I can do. I did organize tools and swept up trash the other day!

My father-in-law did an amazing thing for me! He refinished a Hoosier cabinet! So my brain is working over time reorganizing my whole kitchen too.

Someone stop the nesting!! Ok, at least I can now tackle some of the projects! I know I have my hands full.

One day at a time. Breathe in and out.

ps: Jesse got in trouble from daddy for kicking the walls...1 hour 35 minutes he is officially asleep. Whew. Over and out!

Sweet boys!

Jesse had a hard afternoon. He kicked his brother and wouldn't mind me when I was trying to get him to say "no kick". He blatantly said no.

We had a hard afternoon. Finally, after time out alone in his room with no pants he said it and was quite distraught. My aunt calls it "the program". Mommy is on the program and it means no funny business. No second chances and it's actually harder for mommy than the kid.

After he said it I had to help Chris in the basement and Jesse still needed a snuggle. Owen gave him a hug for me and it helped for a minute, by the time I was in the basetment he was crying again.  I called up to Owen and asked him to hug Jesse again. I am not sure how this happened but....this is what I came up the stairs to find.

Melt this mommy's heart.

20 weeks: half baked...ops 24 week and Halloween!

Well, here we are half way. I still can't believe that I am so blessed to be carrying our third child. As I type this I feel little kicks and rolls. Pregnancy with 2 kids 2 and 4.5 has its challenges and yet days like today when one boy naps and the other plays happily in his room I know my boys are so good.

Well, here I am 4 weeks later that draft didn't get publish.  still no belly shots!! We are 24 weeks!! Viability! But stay inside sweet girlie even tho we want to meet you not yet!!

Happy Halloween! We were lucky to be invited to a friends neighborhood for a play date and trick or treating!!

This is as close to the bump shot as I got recently!

My little Legos!
This picture came out differently in my head.  My belly looks so small, Jesse is crying and of course Owen isn't looking at the camera.  Haha!

The night turned out great! Pizza and snacks fueled us up and thankfully we thought to grab the wagon because little legs couldn't hang. Well, let's also admit Jesse loved riding in the wagon!

While cute in the homemade Halloween costumes and I tried to make them comfy...they were not! The boys could barely touch their hands in the middle and when Owen fell he couldn't get up! The cups on his box popped back out and whew we kept on beggin' for candy!

But. Boy those boys were cute and had a blast!!

Nesting...maybe a little

So first trimester exhaustion and nausea are gone and I have entered the honeymoon second trimester nesting phase.

Today consisted of:
Bills paid
Laundry
Re-potted the aloe plant
Cleaned top of the fridge
Wiped down cabinets in kitchen
Weeded part of the front flower bed
Sewed 2 pillows for my mom
Moved furniture around in boys rooms (Chris moved furniture out of the basement and I had to make room to store it upstairs...we moved a lot of stuff out of the basement in the buildings our back but some stuff we didn't want to get damaged in a shed like building)
Oh and did I mention I had to care for the 2 boys and feed them and make dinner for us all.

My back hurts! My arms hurt from pulling weeds and my  fingernails hurt from pulling on the fabric. Ok. Whining over.

Baby girl: 17 weeks

Poor 3rd child. Your brothers pregnmacies were documented each week and bump pictures were a requirement!  That hasn't meant I haven't thought about you or done things to prepare for your arrival.

First trimester: nausea and exhaustion. Repeat. Every day. All day long. Chasing after your brothers while pregnant at 34 is a new adventure.  The heat made me nauseous, cooking made me nauseous and the only things that seemed to help where staying hydrated, continuous eating (which is hard when nothing sounds good) and chewing gum.

Second trimester brought the joy of finding out you are a baby girl! We still may not believe it till we see it!! My energy has come back some and the nausea comes and goes and seems to be worse in the evenings.

So here we are at 17 weeks.

I am counting down the days till our next ultrasound which happens to be on my 35rh birthday so please be good for us in there!!  Anytime you want to let me feel those kicks would be nice too!
