the secret is out!

So, we had decided to just tell immediate family and friends about our good news. Well, I guess I didn't tell my dad that and at my sister's wedding this past weekend he announced it on the mike at the reception to over 200 people! Oh well, the only people that don't know are my coworkers and I am waiting to tell them after the u/s; which should be around the middle of October.

I don't know what I was thinking last week when I scheduled my health ed and u/s, but I called and canceled both this morning. Basically, since we have to pay everything out of pocket they want the money up front. We are talking 3k!!! Then the offer on the house was finalized and I realized I would rather go to a doctor in the new city we are moving to instead of in gtown. I called my girl Christie and got her midwife's name and practice and we are scheduled for the first round of b/w and meeting with the nurse practitioner on Wednesday morning. Chris is so cute and wants to come with me!!! I can't wait to have the final date for the u/s and a more exact due date! We are still saying May 20th but I have a feeling I will be due in June....we shall see!

any book suggestions?

I put up the ferning microscope, the opk tests and the thermometer last night!!! It felt great!!! Tonight, I am going to dig through the tubberware containers in the basement full of baby stuff and get the books back out and begin to read them! I love to read so if you have any great suggestions of any books let me know. One tip my sister-in-law told me was to go ahead and read some parenting books while pregnant. So, any good books on parenting let me know those too! We went to Walmart last night and while we were there Chris bought some honey buns. I turned to him and said "now that you are going to be a Daddy you might need to rethink your lunches, I am not letting our kids take honey buns to school". He just grinned, and agreed! Though, it came back to bite me when I was tired of walking threw the store and he said "now that your pregnant you need to get your exercise so you can push my baby out!" LOL he is right! I have got my IPOD and my book and I am headed to the gym tonight to do some walking on the treadmill and the stationary bike, with my heart rate monitor to make sure I don't get to over heated!

Day 2 of knowing I am pregnant and LOVING IT!
What is going on inside me:
Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.

6 week belly pic

Doctor's office says I am 6 weeks but I am prepared for a backslide once we do and u/s. Anyway, Chris was so excited when I got home and could not stop grinning and hugging me. I, of course, am my usual self that tried to ruin the moment; but at the last minute relaxed and let it be wonderful. (I am a horrible wife that I don't want to hug my husband the minute i walk in the door, with bags in my hands and feeling hot and sweaty). Side note: I was hot and sweaty because my AC is unhooked while we are having repairs done to the house and I had a cavity filled and sweat when I am nervous and I have had nervous jitters all day b/c we are PG!!!!

My dentist diagnosed my first PG symptom, sensitive teeth. I'm not complaining!

Also, thanks to Anna for all the newborn stuff!!! Be it a girl or boy i've got it covered!

CD40 and we are PG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, this morning AF still had not arrived and I decided if I tested then I knew she would rear her head and we could move on....well.......BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! BIG FAT POSITIVE!!! Chris and I are scared to get too excited but at the same time we are ECSTATIC!!!! Chris was so cute asking if the faint line was too faint to believe...I was like a positive is a positive!!! At this point, he picked me up threw us on the bed and looked into my eyes and started tearing up!

Thank you Lord for blessing us in so many ways!!! I never thought I would be the one to get PG the month before starting Clomid. I prayed that I would be, but never truly believed it! So, here is our first meeting with our little bean and the crazy temperature chart that got us to today.

hope on CD37

so check out the jump in temps!!! OMG!!! This really makes me get my hopes up (dang it-I really don't want to get disappointed). I hope this isn't going to be a fluke and that our room was hot this morning or something like that. Crossing my fingers and toes and sending prayers to the One above that our little one is on their way.

This would be a miracle BFP!

I am still here (CD36 ugh)

I am trying not to think about POAS; due to my drop in temps there really isn't much of a chance for this crazy loooooooooooooooooooooong cycle.

Just wanted to say thanks to all my followers and well wishers. I am alive and thankfully very distracted with the offer and multiple counter offers on our house. Say some prayers that they accept our offer tonight!

CD31 and the $ we've spent

Today I spent some time separating my health file into two files. One is a basic health file and the next one is my IF file. In doing this I tallied how much we have spent and I was surprised it was as high as it was. I've added the list to the side of my blog and will be updating it as we continue this journey.

So, I knew the money was a lot, but I had never sat down and added it up. Whew, over $800. At that is before we even have a bun in the oven. Plus the delivery will be out of pocket apx $8-10k!!! This baby is going to be expensive. Hopefully, the clomid will be our ticket as it will only be $11 a month, I can handle that...but the further we go in this medical intervention the more the prices continue to go up.
