Jeanna, we don't know each other, but I am friends with your sister, Sara. I just wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about you and praying for you since I heard about the loss of your little boys. It is amazing how much sadness the heart can hold for someone whom one never got to know. I lost my first pregnancy at 10 weeks two days before Christmas. Everyone grieves differently, but I know I felt the most comfort in talking to and reading about women who had experienced a loss like mine. It made me feel less isolated from the world around me filled with people who often didn't know how to comfort me. I hope that you find peace and that each day gets a little easier than the last, but that you take the time that you need no matter how long that is.
I am so sorry Jeanna. I know there aren't words to comfort you during this tough time, but know there are people all over thinking about you and your family.
There is a book called "Tear Soup", it is so sweet in describing grief as tear soup, that everyone has their own recipe, their own sized pot to make it in, their own ingredients that change with time and the seasons, and that we don't want to be making soup, tear soup, but that is exactly what we do as we grieve the heartwrenching loss of tender life and love. I keep you in my prayers.
There is a beautiful song called "Desert Song" by Brooke Frazer on the "This is our God" album by Hillsong Church. Jill McClorghry performs the second verse on the live album, and did this less than 2 weeks after losing her baby. There is a copy of the interview and song here: http://trulygodsgrace.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/hillsong-live-desert-song-with-lyrics-jill-mccloghry-interview/
Jill's testimony of singing in spite of pain is simply stunning. She talks about the cut being so deep, and so fresh, yet choosing to sing in spite of that. I would love to send you the whole DVD if you're OK with that (yes, all the way from Sydney, Australia!!). My email is emma_friesen (at) yahoo (dot) com.
Just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you and your family. As others have said, I don't have words of wisdom, and I don't know of any words to comfort you...but please know there are so many of us in the blogging world who are thinking of you and sending our love.
I am so sorry you are having to go through this. I admire your strength and I think it is wonderful that you are sharing with others. My prayers are with you.
I have been touched by your blog and I have an award for you at mine. Come check it out!
(((Hugs)))
