My concoction of a shot wasn't too far off. Though from now on, I don't have to use all the water with the centrotide, she said use half the water into the centrotide powder and then put the follistim/menopur mix into it and draw it all out and inject! Also, it doesn't really matter which needle you use, but it is kinda gross to think about the 3 drugs all together and you can see its not just water its oily looking.
If you are mixing follistim, menopur and centrotide here is the fast easy version:
- Inject follistim amount into menopur powder (if less than 225 of follistim you will have to add some other liquid to the mix as instructed in the video posted here)
- Put half of the centrotide water into the centrotide powder
- Use q-cap to withdraw the follistim/menopur mixture and insert into the liquid centrotide
- withdraw and inject using the SMALL needle not the 2" crazy scary needle!
Tip: use an ice pack to numb and cool the red itchy skin!
